Vehicle Entry in Newcastle

Keys locked in the car, a central-locking fault or a lock that won't turn? We use specialist, non-destructive vehicle entry techniques wherever possible to get you back in.

If a child, vulnerable person or animal is locked inside a vehicle and at risk, call 999 now.

When you might need vehicle entry

  • Keys locked inside the car or in the boot
  • Car locked itself with the key fob still inside
  • Central locking failed after a flat battery
  • Door lock seized, worn or not responding to the key
  • Remote not working and the manual lock is stiff or damaged

Our approach

Breaking a window or forcing a door is expensive and unnecessary in most cases. Vehicle entry is about using the right specialist tools and techniques for the particular make and model, so the car is opened without damage wherever the vehicle allows.

Proof of ownership

Before opening any vehicle we'll ask you to show that it's yours, or that you're authorised to access it. Once inside, that's usually as simple as the V5C or other documents in the car, plus photo ID.

If the key is the problem

Sometimes getting in is only half the issue — a remote that doesn't respond or a key that won't turn needs looking at too. We can diagnose and, where needed, offer remote programming or a replacement key. If the keys are nowhere to be found, see lost car keys.

Vehicle entry questions

Will getting into my car cause damage?

We use non-destructive entry techniques designed for vehicles wherever the car allows. We'll explain the approach for your vehicle before we start.

A child or pet is locked in the car — who should I call?

If a child or animal is locked in a vehicle and at risk, call 999 immediately. Don't wait for a locksmith.

My keys are locked in the boot — can you get them out?

Often, yes. On some vehicles the boot locks separately or deadlocks, which affects how we gain access. Tell us the make and model when you call.
